2003 brought "Books That Kill" and 2004 brings us "Protecing the Family Name", a tale of three sisters who must learn to lean on each other to make it through the individual struggles that life throws at them. What will 2005 bring? A complete waste of time...and four notebooks full of a story that I don't even like enough to retype. BUT I did start a story in December that I'm trying to write in a NaNo style and have been putting it up here.
Fall 2006 - Working on Mark of Sin (1 and 2, at this point) which is based on the premise that the supernatural leaves evidence on the skin when it is present. Since these powers are often seen as being "sinful"... well, it just made sense to play off the feelings of abnormality that these people feel. Right now the Mark of Sin family has werewolves and witches but there are others with powers that aren't always so easily explained. When the line is drawn between right and wrong, those with supernatural powers aren't always on the side of evil.
NaNo 2006 - Still working on Mark of Sin although that is now the title of the story as opposed to the story concept. It's taken a few turns and now is encompassed in The Allen Street stories.
NaNo 2007 -I'll be moving during the first part of the month but still plan on writing and hopefully posting! Most of the words may be my notebook for quite awhile. What I will be working on are short stories for The World. Hopefully, if all goes well, the series will get a name and a good foundation will be laid down for the others working with me in the the world. Actually, I'm writing a Mainstream Melodrama that is currently Unnamed.
NaNo 2008 - My goal this year is 100,000 words spread out between two stories. I'm rewriting Merry Things so that it's darker and more interesting (I hope). This is more of a complete overhaul as I'm keeping some of the general ideas but that's about it. The other story is an unnamed local fantasy I've been thinking about for awhile.
